Play around in the 33-acres of
Riverfront Park. Check out the History Pavilion that offers information about the city and state's history, take a walk across the city's landmark Junction Bridge, explore the Medical Mile, stop and smell the roses in the Forever A Rose Garden, examine the art in the Vogel Schwartz Sculpture Garden, and a lot more. One day spent at the park may not do it justice - we'd plan for two.

Arkansas Arts Center to take in some of the finest art on display in the city. One of the leading cultural institutions in the state, the AAC is home to works by artists like Picasso, Edgar Degas, Rembrandt, Odilon Redon, Van Gogh, Jackson Pollack, and many others.

Take a walk on the wild side at the

Spend a day exploring interactive exhibits at the
Museum of Discovery. Exhibitions at the museum include themes like Arkansas Indians, Bug Zoo, Energy!, Health Hall, Imagination Station, Passports to the World, Room to Grow, and Worlds of the Forest. Current renovations will bring new exhibits to the museum in January 2012.

Step into the presidential library commemorating the 42nd President of the United States at the William J.
Clinton Presidential Center. There are over 2 million pictures throughout the center, as well as 80 million pages of documents, and 79,000 artifacts from Clinton's time in the White House. Must see features of the library include full size replicas of the Clinton-era Oval Office and Cabinet Room.

Tour the
Arkansas State Capitol and get a closer look at the state's history and government operations. The beautiful building is almost 100 years old and features portraits and bronze busts of past governors, murals, the official state seal, and an exquisite cupola covered in 24-karat gold, among other facets of interest. While visiting the capitol, be sure to walk the grounds around the building. The land surrounding the capitol holds various memorial statues and figures, along with flourishing gardens.

Set sail on the
Arkansas Queen and see the city of Little Rock from a whole new vantage point. The captain will give a detailed narration of the city's history, as well as insight on the impact of the riverboat and it's role in the development of the nation. If you're not much of a history buff, hang out on the observation deck with a drink in hand, soaking in the view.

Have some fun in the sun at
